Many families are not only mired in poverty but have suffered a horrific event such as an earthquake, cyclone, mudslide, tsunami or flood. SAFP is raising $650,000.00 for tsunami rehabilitation projects. These families often lose their homes, property and livelihood and, as well, do not have the funds to rebuild, thus leaving them virtually destitute. Their needs are urgent and SAFP endeavors to support them with the reconstruction of their homes, rebuild their property, rebuild their kitchen gardens that supply them with fruits, vegetables and herbal medicines, provide a means of income generation to make them self-sufficient once again.
